Directions
Preheat oven to 375 degrees.

Directions
Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
In a large bowl, cream butter and sugar. Add the egg yolk, peppermint extract and vanillaExtract, mix well.
In a bowl, combine flour and salt, gradually add to cream.
Divide the dough into two parts. Dyed red, a portion. Divide the dough into four sections. You should see two red and two sections of regular sections. Cover and refrigerate for 1 hour.
Shape each portion into a 9-inch log. Place a simple log next to a red. Gently turn the red layer and protocols, and register to create a swirled. Repeat with the other twoProtocols.
Cut each log into nine sections, roll each piece into a ball. Place each slice of 1 inch apart on a ungreased baking pan. Flatten slightly with a glass.
Bake 10-12 minutes or until edges are lightly browned. Press a piece of chocolate candy kiss in center of each cookie, but cookies are still warm. Allow to cool.
