Since both my husband and I have time to see Christmas with the family, spending time with his family, we have in our house on Christmas Eve and my family at his home on Christmas Day. As my mother always makes a nice big dinner and we have so many things at the time, usually to make a buffet of appetizers for Christmas Eve in our house.
It 's very simple and it helps my stress level. I can do all the time and just before theThe next table. I did not like the decoration of the table, but a pretty poinsettia tablecloth and pretty holiday paper plates and napkins. It 's a tradition that everyone is happy because it is simply delicious snacks all day and offers. The best part is that, with paper plates, no dishes or pans to wash! The only remedy is to put away all the radicals, that is, if it were any!
Here are some tips for organizing your own snack buffet. If you have time, take a piece of paper and start writing some possibilities. Write down all the recipes that are in this sense as it is stated that:
~ Fans of things to dip is always popular. I like to share a vegetarian plate with ranch dip (I use the `Uncle Dans' found in a supermarket to make the dip) and an assortment of crackers with my favorite recipe for clam dip.
~ A tray of sandwich stuff. I load a tray of cold cuts and cheeses, andsandwich other things like onions, tomatoes, cucumber, mayonnaise and mustard. You might try a tray of club sandwich, Reuben sandwich stuff stuff. You can also experiment with different types of rye bread or sourdough as a party.
~ Cookies and candies. Every year I make two or three of our favorite family recipes that are listed below. What is your favorite family cookie and candy recipes?
~ Drinks. The Irish Cream recipe below served overIce is wonderful and a special surprise. We also buy pop and beer and that seems to please everyone. Maybe you have a favorite punch, eggnog or hot buttered rum recipe, want to use.
~ The things crunchy. I always have the Chex mix.
Do not forget that you can help your family members or other guests! This gives you more variety and less work! Tell them to bring a snack-type item.
