Spice Cookies, which are suitable for most diabetics

We enjoy sweets for diabetics, too! So here's a delicious spice cookie recipe that is suitable for most diabetics. You should be aware of what you can eat when you have time a diabetic. These are some molasses spice cookies in them so they eat accordingly. One or two after meals should be in order. But do not sit and eat a dozen before bedtime. Spice Cookies

6 tablespoons vegetable shortening
6 tablespoons butter
1 cup Splenda Granular
04:01 Cup egg substitute
04:01 Cup molasses
2 cups flour, sifted
4.3 tsp ground ginger
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
2.1 teaspoon cloves

In alarge bowl, combine margarine, butter, sugar substitute, egg substitute and molasses. Put the flour and spices into a sieve and sift the flour into shortening mixture. Mix the dough. Wrap dough in plastic wrap and chill in the refrigerator are solid, about 2 hours.

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Remove dough from refrigerator. For the dough, roll 1 heaping teaspoon at a time into balls. Place balls on ungreased baking pan and pat downgently with a fork, so that zig-zag, like peanut butter cookies. 10-12 minutes. Do not overbake. These cookies will chewy, but crisp as they cool. Cool on a wire rack.
